So as to leave nothing to chance, it is essential to understand and make use of the material technology from a technological point of view and for quality reasons, but above all as a factor in the cost. This is why we cooperate closely with our smelting plants and processors. It is also why we have a material testing laboratory, accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 certified standard, with our sister company LB Materialprüfungen AG as a partner.

With its trained specialist personnel, LB Materialprüfungen AG provides independent neutral tests and advice and this enables us to:

• continuously monitor the quality of semi-finished products and customer production using specific checks for the incoming goods before they are processed and delivered, acting as an extension the customer’s workbench, as well as specific checks within the customer’s production facility
• conduct research and development for and with our suppliers and customers
• comply with and further improve the Swiss Quality standard
• maintain an interdisciplinary platform with universities and plants for the benefit of our customers
• carry out market and products analyses from a material-based technological point of view and identify the benefits

Our close, interdisciplinary cooperation with external accredited testing laboratories for mechanical, metallographic tests and material analysis on metal materials in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, universities and research institutes in Switzerland, also includes the latest findings and developments for use in the field.
