Over 120 Years of History

After it was founded, Brown Boveri & Cie. (BBC) in Baden set up a central purchasing and warehousing facility that has now become an efficient logistics centre.

After the merger with the Swedish electrical engineering group ASEA in 1988, which gave rise to Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), the unit continued to operate as a central service provider for the new company. In 1991, ABB Logistikbetriebe AG became independent and in 1993, it broke off fully from the group and began operating under the new name of LB Logistikbetriebe AG. Since 2013, the three business divisions of Metal and Service Centre, Industrial Solutions and Material Testing have been registered as independent companies under the Management Holding.

Since LB Logistik AG separated from ABB, its range and customer base have been growing steadily. Today, around 300 companies and organisations are taking advantage of the services offered by the Swiss logistics company.

Around 70 well-trained, competent employees all take the responsibility for the effectiveness and quality of the advice and services they provide very seriously. Reliability, innovation and marketable prices: these are the most important prerequisites for a successful collaboration. Ultimately, the employees and the three companies offer a great deal of experience and sound knowledge – and at the same time they provide the assurance that you have an efficient supply partner in your corner you can rely on.
